Antenna & Waveguide
Installation At Wireless Associates we have developed many of our own customers test procedures in performing sweep testing, precision microwave path alignments, and conducting general troubleshooting and maintenance practices and procedures. At the present time, our engineering function is primarily geared toward providing such services as creating tower map (as-built) drawings, which can encompass all shelter and building structures including lattice towers and monopoles. These drawings are an inexpensive alternative to the purchasing of architectural drawings to satisfy many compliance issues.
Capabilities The majority of the test equipment assets we utilize for sweep testing and path alignment activities includes an Hewlett Packard Digital Spectrum Analyzer, Sweep Oscillator, Plotters, Anritsu S331B for coaxial and antenna system testing and Anritsu S820C elliptical waveguide and antenna system test set. This equipment and our experienced technicians provides Wireless Associates a wide range of capabilities that includes elliptical waveguide and antenna system testing from 6 to 18ghz and coaxial and antenna system testing from 100mhz to 3ghz. This equipment also provides accurate Distance To Fault (DTF) on both spectrums elliptical and coaxial. Sweep
Testing Our Technicians can perform standard sweep test of coaxial cables and antenna arrays, and perform complex sweep testing and low VSWR tuning of tunable elliptical waveguide and Distance to Fault (DTF).
Precision Path Alignments
& Cross Polarization
Our technicians can perform simple antenna alignments through measuring AGC levels, or by using a digital or analog spectrum analyzers to conduct precision path alignments and cross polarization of multi frequency UMX antennas and cornucopias horn antennas, which produces a power output calculation plot and a plot of the path, which provides the most accuracy and visual documentation of the path alignment available.
Tower Maps
& Surveys Creating tower map (as-built) drawings are simple for our technicians because we have so many electronic models to choose from. We are also very active in performance testing such as conduction microwave path surveys as well as conducting radio frequency interference (RFI) studies. Safety Our tower technician have been
ComTrained in tower safety and emergency tower rescue. Due to the ever
changing safety requirements, Wireless Associates has become highly active in
